Boaventura é uma cidade e também município colombiano. É o principal porto situado na costa do Oceano Pacífico, está a 145 km da cidade de Cali.
Estão divididas pela Cordilheira Ocidental dos Andes. Boaventura é o maior Município do Vale do Cauca. Uma boa parte do seu território está coberta por formosas florestas virgens, ricas em diferentes metais preciosos e carvão, com belíssimos rios, encontrando-se entre os mais importantes: Anchicayá, Cajambre, Calima, Guapi, La Sierpe, Mayorquín, Raposo, Natita, San Agustín, Yurumanguí, San Cipriano e San Juan, entre outros.
